Humberto Luis Schenone was born in the British Hospital of Buenos Aires on September 6th 1955. During childhood, he had some 'school trouble' for his pleasure in beating over anything making 'candombe-batucada'. His first steps in music were in his teens, singing and playing guitar in folk and rock groups. It was dedicated to other professional activities after university years learning Spanish guitar with jazz & tango player Claudio Gomez. Later, in 1990, he felt 'the call' from percussion instruments, so he collected and played them in significant numbers. After several long and musically nutritious seasons in Brazil, he finally settled in a house 30 km away from Buenos Aires, where he built his first 'percussion room'. He went more profound in his studies of Afro-American rhythms. He had essential teachers in the art of percussions, like Bam Bam Miranda, Abdoulaye Badiane and Hugo Nuñez. He has been part of several bands related to Afro-percussion, bossa nova, samba, salsa, rock, south-american folk, tango, etc. In 2008 began making his experimental recordings as a personal journey in sound art expression.
